Tis the Season

It's after my birthday, so I can start decorating for Halloween! It's my favorite time of year...the leaves change, its not so frigging hot, and the neon colors and the great white flab goes away and you have pretty jewel and earth tones everywhere!

I need to figure out what I am going to be his year! Our Halloween party this year will also have a run through of the chocolate ritual...so maybe I will just go as the Dark Chocolate Goddess. Every pagan I know seems to get all serious and death worshipping around Samhain. They need to get that stick out of their Wiccan asses and revel in the harvest celebration. Yes yes yes, we need to acknowledge our ancestors, but does it have to be so darn depressing and gloomy? This is why I gave up Wicca for Lent years ago. Don't burn out the hamster working through that statement. Life is and banquet and I'm not going to be one of those people who starves to death!
