Swami Strikes Again

This was originally a post to my friends' email list, but I decided it needs to be here on the blog as well.

I think this year ...ehm...2007...may be about watching your step. The Fool blindly walks off a cliff...sorta blind faith in the universe. The recent trends so far are make sure your "i"s are dotted and your "t"s are crossed as the universe isn't going to let us get off that easy this year. We may have to work harder this year than last year to get what we want and need from life. I know working harder seems like the last thing anyone around here wants to do more of, but I'm talking about working smarter...trimming the fat so that the dollar can stretch even more...yadda yadda and more platitudes.

Read all of the fine print! Also, THINK before you speak...I'm guessing hoof in mouth disease is going to be running rampant this year!

I've been watching the entropic forces nibble away at all the aspects and people in my life. My dance director may have to resign because she wasn't paying attention to those around her and her own state of deteriorating mental health...my company just pulled an entire line of products from the shelf as they may not be as effective as the scientists were absolutely sure they were going to be...my dentists are giving me conflicting advice about my surgery and insurance as they have yet to communicate with each other...stuff like that. On the other hand, I'm going back to Purdue in August to finish my degree and possibly go to grad school. Everything I planted last year for is coming to fruition and as long as I keep on top of things, stuff seems to just be clicking into place. 2006 was about building and planting seeds towards our futures, so 2007 is bound to be about us beginning to sow the bounty (or lack thereof) of what we started in 2006.

What did you do in 2006?

Weed the garden? Eliminate the pests? Fertilize the soil? Plant seedlings?
Did you forget to do anything?
