Sending a Prayer to the Gulf
Everyone here in my little world of Lafayette Indiana is prayin' and sending Reiki to the people in the Gulf coast.
Be safe and may the powers that be work with a gentle hand.
My paradigm, my rules.

Yep, I am now a year older, but I don't know if I am any wiser. I seem to keep making the same mistakes. Maybe I'm going about this whole being human thing all wrong. I would ask for a big clue by four, but I'd be afraid my apartment would burn down. The powers that be tend to take drastic measures with me. I get so caught up in stuff and obsess about things...mostly about things that are absolutely trivial. Maybe I should run away and join the circus.
A scene from Sunday September 4th, 2005 after the Middle Kingdom Academy of Defense Event. We were a bit wired from two days of rapier fighting and classes and late night partying. The poor gentleman who took this picture got the full brunt of our vivacious estrogen, so much so that he had to take several steps back when we all growled at him instead of saying cheese.
I had to air out the tent indoors because it was still raining out. Rayana graciously offered her help. She is a black Domestic Short Hair with hyperthyroidism. She is also covered in strategically placed stealth matts. The drugs I give her must come out in the oils on her skin because she stopped grooming about the time she started her meds. She REALLY HATES to be brushed, groomed, or otherwise dematted, so I have come to accept her as my little rasta kitty. I catch her every once in a while purposefully dredding her hair. If my sadistic streak catches up with me, I may just have to shave her to get rid of all the matts. When she yowls in protest she sounds like she is yelling "NO". It creaps the Vet and groomer out, so they told me I would have to shave her myself. Of course that would require five strong people with riot gear to hold her down. I am so not kidding!
Not really, but I can dream...
